Lata Mishra obtained her Master's Degree in English Literature from Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed University), Dayalbagh, Agra and completed her Ph.D. degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. She has been teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes since 1994. Presently she is a Professor at Department of English Studies and Research of Government Kamala Raje Girls Autonomous Postgraduate Degree College, Gwalior. She is approved research guide in Jiwaji University, Gwalior. She has participated in various seminars and conferences in India. She has to her credit several research papers published in anthologies and journals of national and international repute. She has also edited several anthologies published by Authorspress & GNOSIS, New Delhi, India besides editing Labyrinth: An International Refereed Journal of Postmodern Studies (ISSN 0976-0814), published quarterly. She is in the advisory and editorial boards of several leading national and international journals of India. She has completed a Minor Research Project entitled 'Postmodernist Theories of Identity and Salman Rushdie's Fiction' accorded by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Presently she is engaged in Minor Research Project entitled, "The Teaching and Assessment of English for Global Purposes in Higher Education Institutions of Madhya Pradesh: Issuesm challenges and Possible Solutions" sponsored by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Lata Mishra is Member of Academic Council, Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
