He is a prolific and dynamic personality with a reservoir of 20 years experience of teaching in different institutions including G.K.University, Haridwar (UK), Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas. He obtained his Ph.D. Degree in English from G.K.University, Haridwar (UK) in 1996, M.Ed. from M.D.University, Rohtak, Haryana in 1997, PGCTE and PGDTE from CIEFL, Hyderabad (presently known as EFLU) in 1998 and 2005 respectively, and PGDJMC from IGNOU, New Delhi in 2001 and PGDHE from IGNOU, New Delhi in 2013. 20 books published are there to his credit. Besides 50 research articles in different Anthologies, he has also contributed 4 units to a text book entitled Principles of Criticism prescribed for the PG students of English Literature in Open University, Kota (Raj.) and three units to BA in UOU Haldwani (UK). He has 50 research papers in National Journals and 30 papers in International Journals. He has authored 12 articles in National Patrikas and Magazines besides 21 book reviews in National Journals and 5 in International Journals along with 27 poems. He has attended 44 National Seminars, 3 National Workshops and 7 National Conferences besides 9 International Conferences and 4 International Seminars, International Workshop 1. Three scholars have acquired their M.Phil. Degrees in 2007 & 2008 respectively and three scholars have been enrolled for Ph.D. in 2009 under his supervision. He organized 7th State Level Samagam of Uttarakhand Scouts & Guides (Rovers/Rangers) from 28th to 31th Oct. 2009 at Govt. P.G. College Lansdowne, Uttarakhand. He worked as Associate Organizing Secretary in one day National Seminar on Solid Waste Management held in 2007 besides organizing UGC sponsored two-day National Seminar on Women Empowerment: Past Trends and Future Directions on March 6 & 7, 2009, UGC & ICSSR sponsored two-day National Seminar on Dalit Literature: Past Trends and Present Concerns on 4-5 Oct., 2010, UCOST sponsored two-day National Conference on Environment & Biodiversity: Safeguarding Ecosystems for Humanity on 30-31 March 2012 and UGC sponsored three-day National Conference on English Language Teaching & Information and Communication Technology on 26-28 April 2012 at Govt. PG College Lansdowne (UK). He delivered a lecture on Sound System of General Indian English in Govt. P.G. College, Lansdowne, Pauri Garhwal on 15 Nov., 2006 and two lectures on Role of Computer & Its Importance in English and Personality Development on Feb. 20, 2010 at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyala, Kheragarh, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh and one lecture on Organizing Blood Camp on March 12, 2010 in Govt. P.G. College, Lansdowne, Pauri Garhwal. He also assisted as staff in National Level Nature Study cum Trekking Camp held at Kotdwar from 20 to 24 March 201 at Govt. P.G. College Lansdowne, Uttarakhand.
