Prof Amod Kumar Rai has been in academics for last seventeen years. Currently he is working in the Department of English, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. Prior to this he has rendered a yeoman's service at GC Ateli, Haryana and at BPG college, Kushinagar. His academic career is bedecked and bejeweled with several distinctions. He has actively participated in more than 50 conferences national and international, within the country and abroad. Hitherto, he has scripted four books, edited one book, coedited two books, published more than 40 research papers and articles in journals and books. He has edited an International Journal Oasis for ten years. Presently he is in the editorial team of a US based online International Journal of ELLC. He has completed two research projects funded by the central and state government. He is doing creative writing too in Hindi and has published a travelogue and an anthology of poetry. He is also a research associate with IIAS, Shimla.
